Who doesn't think that their baby is a tiny Prince or Princess? What little Prince or Princess doesn't deserve a crown of their very own? Today I (Jessica) am showing you how to crochet your own super easy beginner newborn crown, so that all the Princes and Princesses in your life can have their own!
Growing up, our Halloween costumes were always homemade. One of our favorites was a giant pair of monarch butterfly wings my dad made out of a refrigerator sized box and painted to look like the wing pattern of the migrating monarch.
Finished Measurements Tiara measures approximately 6"/15cm wide by 3 1/2"/9cm tall (at center). Star on wand measures approximately 4"/10cm across (from tip to tip). Main Color (MC) Fuchsia Sparkle (0002) 1 One size US G-8 (5.5mm) crochet hook, (for Wand, ties and last row of top of Tiara); and US H-8 (5mm) (for body of Tiara), or sizes to obtain gauge.
This is a simple crown pattern. I think it would be a great prop for newborn photos. The newborn size is here for free. I will be writing up this pattern in all sizes up to three years and a tiara version in all sizes up to three years and listing it in my Etsy shop as a pattern download.
