Thank you to for sponsoring this review. sells corset tops, corset dresses, corset costumes and more at great prices. To facilitate my review I was asked to choose one corset under $30 that I would like to try. I chose the Brown Retro Halter Corset. It retails for $27.99 and comes in sizes Small to 2XL. I asked for a size Large which equals to a size 6-8 dress size.

brown corset

I love this corset because it is a halter top so it can also be worn as a top. The hooks in front are different from the other corsets that I own.

polk a dot corset

It took me a while to figure out the easy way to attach the hooks in front. Once I figured out that it is easier to slide all the hooks on at the same time it was a breeze after that. These hooks are stronger than the hooks on my other corsets because they don’t bend if you pull them too hard. Once they are on and the corset is tied they do not move at all. To undo the hooks you have to untie the ribbons on the back first.

corset ties

The ribbon used for the ties on the back are very long so I cut mine a little shorter. I don’t like to wear my corset with a bunch of string hanging down the back. Because I am a little shy I did try on the corset but I wore a grey dress underneath. LOL…silly I know!

Still the corset looks wonderful and is comfortable to wear. I was able to get it nice and tight without any help. The boning is very strong but doesn’t dig in. It provides a lot of support and gives you a great figure.

brown corset

Overall I love it! I think the brown and white polk a dots are cute. I am going to try to find a cute white jacket to pair with it. My plan is to wear it with some jeans and boots/heels.
