11 views I finished this set last month but with all that has been going on I haven’t had the chance to post about it. Better late than never! This set was crocheted with Halo yarn which is a fingering/lace weight. It is 78% Suri Alpaca and 22% Nylon. The hat is for a newborn measuring 6″ tall and 14″ around. The wrap is 21″ by 16″. The pieces are very soft and lightweight. It stretches but not as much as a thicker yarn would. The picture doesn’t really bring out the color as it is a darker purple. This set will be going to a local photographer so I can get some professional pictures. I still have some of this yarn left so if you would like a set made up for yourself just let me know. What have you been working on? Continue reading Crochet: Newborn Wrap and Hat By The Steady Hand on May 15th, 2012

17 views Newly launched, the Patterns section of Craftsy is the fastest growing online marketplace for crafting patterns. Because Craftsy does not charge designers any fees or commissions for listing or selling their patterns, creative indie designers are hurrying to the site to set up their pattern shops. There, well over half a million active Craftsy members browse the thousands upon thousands of patterns of all types, for all crafts. And since the designers aren’t getting charged or having to give Craftsy any commissions, the deals on patterns are amazing! Some are even free. It’s the perfect place to get inspiration and instructions at super low prices. By The Steady Hand on April 29th, 2012
