Crochet Tunic Top

I haven’t crocheted anything special for my daughter in a while so when her birthday rolled around this year I decided to go all out. I crocheted her a tunic using Sparkly Purple Crochet Thread. It took me about 2 weeks as I didn’t have a pattern and was doing the sizing based on one of her long-sleeve tops (4T). Once it was done though I was very happy with how it turned out. My daughter wore it on her birthday!

The neckline was a little too large so I added the ribbon to make it a little smaller. Without the ribbon it would fall off one shoulder which looked cute as well but she didn’t like it. I posted this same picture on Facebook a couple of days after her birthday and I got such a great response. 55 people liked the photo and I had 2 people want me to work up the same tunic for their child. I was blown away and all of a sudden very busy!

I crocheted another tunic top using the same thread and in the same size (4T) for one order.

The other order was for a size 2T and I used black sparkly sport weight yarn.

Both tops came out great! I am writing out the pattern and once I get it tested will probably start selling it so that you can make these tops too.

I am also accepting custom orders for this tunic. I can make it any size from 2T up to Adult. You can send me a message via The Steady Hand Etsy Shop for more information or email me at aprile@thesteadyhandblog.com. Thanks!
