Today, I am featuring a very talented woman. She creates original, hand-crafted jewelry pieces that are simple yet refined. Contemporary pieces that will definitely make you stand out from the crowd. Please welcome, Staci…
Love this photo!
“All Contempo Jewelry pieces are designed and hand crafted by me, Staci Egan. Wire is my obsession, I bend it, shape it, hammer it, solder it – it’s like meditation for me. When I mix wire with semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls – I’m in love!”
How did you get started making your pieces?
“I started creating jewelry in 1999 shortly after the birth of my son. I was young and lived far away from family. One day I decided to treat myself to a handmade necklace on eBay. It arrived and I thought to myself – I can make this! I experimented with my new hobby during the long days and nights with my little boy. Now it’s my full-time job and I love it!”
Where do you get your inspiration?
“My studio space is in Surface Artist Cooperative. Surface is an old barn nestled in the plush hills of Central Pennsylvania with a stream running through the back. Through my large window in the back of the studio – I can watch the birds, bunnies, ducks and beavers. This is where I derive my inspiration.”
I just have to say that the Surface Artist Cooperative is a beautiful place. Check out these pictures…so pretty. I would love to go there!
And finally here are some gorgeous pieces that Staci has made…
