Please welcome Linda, the hands behind the LyndiArt Etsy Shop! Today Linda will be telling us a little about herself and her shop. Take a look at some of her available items for sale and if you like what you see visit her shop or stop by the LyndiArt Facebook page to say hi.
Hi, I am Linda Aldrich from Marshfield, WI and my shop on Etsy is Lyndiart where you will find a mix of a bit of modern, a little vintage, and some mod-retro styles of home decor such as table runners, art quilts, wall hangings, pillow covers, re-purposed vintage/retro textiles, and screen printed home goods.
It all started some years ago when I took a few quilting classes and, well, ever since I’ve been hooked..obsessed..ok..need an intervention. I have been quilting and creating for about 25 years now. I absolutely adore fabric..the feel of it, the color, and the texture. I also have an interest for vintage and retro-styled textiles and love to mix it all together.
Some new items I have been working on are screen printed home goods such as personalized flour sack dish towels and pillow covers. I love running my little Etsy shop. I have had such wonderful interactions from people all over the world and it is so gratifying to know my pieces are taking part in people’s homes and lives.
Most recently, since having such a love affair with fabric (I have dyed, screen printed, stamped and painted fabric), I have been interested in the designing aspect of it and have enrolled in an online class to learn how to design fabric using Photoshop Elements software….we will see how that goes…maybe another obsession in the works….Linda
Wow Linda! I really like your LOVE pillow and that would make such a great gift for Valentine’s Day. Thank you so much for telling us more about yourself and your craft. We all know how easily it is to become addicted to something we love!
Have a great day everyone!
