You might have noticed that I started numbering my free crochet patterns. I have actually been doing that from the beginning but I thought it wouldn’t look good as a blog title. Now I have to do it because I am forgetful and it is easier to search by number. You will also probably notice that I went out-of-order as well. Yup…lack of sleep due to my daughter being out of school and talking my ear off every second of every day. Okay that was an exaggeration but that is what it feels like. I love her and I know kids talk a lot but it just drains me out! Enough rambling onto the free pattern…

Size: One size
Finished Measurements: 46” long and 6” wide
Hook size: H/8 (5.00mm)
Notions: stitch markers, yarn needle & scissors
Yarn: 250 yards of (3) Light/DK/Light Worsted. I used 1 skein of Teal Agate Superwash Dewy DK (250 yards) from Expression Fiber Arts.
Sl st slip stitch
Sc single crochet
Dc double crochet
Ch 1 does not count as a stitch. Ch 3 counts as a dc. If needed use a stitch marker to mark the first st in each row.
Ch 26 loosely.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn. (25 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, *sk 3, 7 dc in next st, sk 3, sc in next st. Repeat from * to end, turn. (3 groups of 7 dc).
Row 3: Ch 6 (counts as dc and ch 3), sk 3 dc, *sc in next dc, ch 3, sk 3 dc, dc in next sc, ch 3, sk 3. Repeat from * to end, turn. (6 groups of ch 3 spaces)
Row 4: Ch 3, *3 dc in ch 3 sp, dc in next sc, 3 dc in ch 3 sp, dc in next dc. Repeat from * to end, turn. (25 dc)
Repeat Rows 2 – 4 until your scarf is about 50” long or you run out of yarn.
Fasten off and sew in all loose ends.
