This scarf is worked in long rows. Leave a tail of at least 15” when you start and finish a row for your fringe.

This pattern can be adjusted. If you would like the scarf to be shorter or longer adjust the starting chain to the length you want. If you want the scarf to be skinnier or thicker add or reduce the amount of rows.

Row 1: Ch 360. Fasten off.
Row 2: Join in the first ch, ch 1 (does not count as a st), hdc in the same st, *sc in the next st, hdc in the next st. Repeat from * to the end. Fasten off.
Row 3: Join in the first st, ch 1, hdc in the same st, *dc in the next st, hdc in the next st. Repeat from * to the end. Fasten off.
Row 5 – 14: Repeat rows 2 & 3. You will complete a hdc in the hdc from the previous row, a sc in the dc from the previous row and a dc in the sc from the previous row.

Pull tightly on all the tails. To add more fringe, cut yarn into 30” long pieces and attach to the end of the scarf. I added 10 more pieces of fringe to each end of the scarf pictured.

Lay the scarf out flat and straighten the fringe. Using sharp scissors trim the fringe to the length you desire. For the scarf pictured the fringe is 10” long.
