I am working on this crochet bag that I found a pattern for online. The pattern is called the Cable Purse and I got it from FaveCrafts.com. I love that site!
I started on it a couple days ago and here is the progress I have made so far.
So this last picture is the completed front. I am using Lion Brand Suede which is a Bulky yarn. The pattern calls for a Medium weight yarn so my purse is going to be a little larger. But I wanted the cables thicker and more noticeable. I really like the way it came out. It is a square 15″ by 15″. I now only have the bottom, back and 2 sides. The handles I have may be too small for the finished purse but we’ll see. If anything I think I can make either long or short handles for it with the contrasting yarn. But with the size I may sell it as a tote or laptop bag.
In other news…my family and I went to Pump It Up on Beach St. here in Fort Worth today so Abby could spend some time with her daddy before he flies back out for work on Sunday. We got there right when they opened at 10 AM and had the whole place to ourselves for about 45 minutes which is great since adults can get in the inflatables too. So my husband and I hopped, slid and did the obstacle course with Abby which she absolutely loved! When we got home Abby took a really good nap, ahhh silence!
Thank you for all the comments on my previous post for help with potty training. I really agree with the comment that I need to not push her to do it but let her do it on her own. I have started to take a more laid back approach to it so hopefully after a couple weeks we will have some progress here.
Thank you all and have a great weekend!
