Right now I am working on the Seija Set of Baby Hat and Stroller Blanket by Bev Ireland. I found it in “The Happy Hooker” book by Debbie Stroller. The hat is finished and it was pretty easy to work up. The blanket is easy as well just takes a long time even though it is a smaller blanket. I don’t like doing blankets very much since they take so long but this should only take me a couple more days to finish. It requires 3 different colors of worsted yarn to work up. I am using Red Heart Super Saver in Coffee, Bernat Denim Style in Canvas and a rose pink worsted yarn that I have but I think I already threw away the label. I like this set because the hat has braided yarns that come down from the ear flaps and there is also a braid of yarn braided in the edges of the blanket. Once I finish the blanket I will post pictures of the completed project.
I am also in the middle of crocheting my first pair of socks. I have completed the first one, just haven’t sewn it together. Socks are not easy so that is why I took break and started a different project. The socks pattern I am using is from Lion Brand Yarn – Joan’s Socks (Crochet Version) with Lion Brand Wool-Ease worsted Mink Brown.
Here is a picture of the first sock, yet to be sewn together.
