Not one of my better days

Today was supposed to be a good day. I got plenty accomplished this morning, cleaning and organizing stuff for our Garage Sale this weekend. But this afternoon just went downhill. A friend that was coming over for a playdate this afternoon canceled (her husband came home early for Valentine’s Day – don’t blame her one bit) but I was looking forward to some grown-up talk. Then Abby made a huge mess that took me a while to clean up. Then I was just done…just tired and felt so worn out. I sat on the couch to watch Sesame Street with my daughter and managed to fall asleep! It was only for 45 minutes but jeez…what a mom!

Anyway, I am hoping to go to bed early tonight to catch up on some rest but it is not looking so good being that it is already 9:30 PM. I still have a lot planned before I can even lie down. When Abby goes to sleep at night is my only real chance to do any real cleaning around the house and also my crochet. So getting sleep is really not my priority. I tend to rely on lots of coffee and Dr. Pepper throughout the day. But getting back on topic I am just feeling mildly depressed today…I hate feeling like this. I didn’t get to work on my crochet much today but I did complete some:

So from bottom up: 1 front, the bottom and 1 side.

And these are the handles I would like to use but we’ll see how they work once the bag is done.

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and I really hope I wake up feeling better tomorrow!

Awww hate days like that, with 2 little ones I can relate! {{{HUGS}}} sweetie!
My youngest has flu and what do you know yesterday I caught it too? Spent the night throwing up the chocolate that hubby brought me for Valentine's day 🙁

I hope today was a better day. I rely on Dr. Pepper too. When I lived in Dallas I drank way too much. It was everywhere!
    Love the brown color combo.

I hope you're feeling better by now. I just wanted to say how amazing this project looks. I'm going to have to check out your other crochet projects. I rely on Tazo tea–made with 1/2 less water. 🙂 I found you at Homemade Wednesday and I'm a new follower.
