Thank you very much to JAM Paper & Envelope for sponsoring this review post! JAM is known for their packaging and office supplies. For my review I received an assortment of 100% Recycled Brown Kraft Paper Products with an assignment of creating an arts & crafts project. Instead of the arts & crafts project I have decided to show how I would use the Kraft Paper Products to package the handmade items I sell in my Etsy Shop and on my Facebook page.
Every handmade seller knows that your item packaging is just as important as the quality of the item you make. You want your customers to see how highly you value your own products by the way you package them. Here is a picture of the Kraft Paper Products that I received:
· Kraft Twine
· Kraft Envelopes (A2) & Loose Ones
· Brown Kraft Bag 28 lb Paper
· (2) Loose Gift Boxes. (5 x 5 x 3 Open Lid Kraft Gift Box & 3 x 3 x 2 Open Lid Kraft Gift Box)
Kraft paper products are great for the environment because they are made from 100% post consumer products (old paper products) and wood chips. They are typically unbleached so they have a natural look and feel.
When I package my crochet accessories and jewelry I like to keep it simple but at the same time have a little elegance to it. I don’t go all crazy with it. I like to use stamps because they are easy and don’t require a lot of creative skill.
I took the Brown Kraft gift boxes and stamped the top of each box with one of my Handmade By stamps.
The black stamps looks good but the green one below goes better with the natural brown color of the box.
I will be using the Brown Kraft Paper to write my handmade thank you notes on. I used my personalized embosser to create an imprint on the bottom right-hand corner of each page.
While my handwriting isn’t the best the Kraft paper definitely holds up to permanent marker. It didn’t bleed through or smear.
I also used my embosser on the back of all of the Brown Kraft Paper Bag Envelopes. I could have used my ink stamps as well but I think the embossed stamp looks better.
The envelopes can hold a lot and are tear resistant. I was able to fit the folded Brown Kraft Paper, a postcard, a business card and 1 of my business card magnets. The envelope did not feel bulky or look too full.
The last item I used was the Kraft Twine. Here is a close up picture of it:
After wrapping up one of my crochet hats in white tissue paper I used the twine to tie it up and made a bow. I then placed the item in the medium Kraft box (pictured below). All the packaging items match each other and look very put together!
Overall I love the simple but elegant look of the finished products. All I had to do was add my personal touch and voila!
Thank you very much to JAM Paper & Envelope for sending me these products to review. Be sure to check out their website as their paper products are available in a multitude of colors and sizes.I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
