Review – 3D Laser Gifts

With Valentine’s Day on its way everyone is looking for a unique gift to get their loved one? What could be better than a laser etched photo in crystal? It lasts forever, looks great, has a stand that lights up and you can add pretty much any picture you want. Even if you don’t want to add a picture of yourself or the two of you together you can add a picture of your favorite place or even your pet. You can’t go wrong with your furry friend!

I was lucky enough to get to review an item from 3DLaserGifts.com. When I received my package I was not ready for how heavy it was. The box was small but whatever was in it weighed a ton! Here is a picture of the box right after I opened it. You can see that their packaging is really top-notch.

The items in the box were secure and protected in their own individual boxes.

One box contained the lighted base with plug and the blue box contained the laser etched crystal.

The blue box that contains the laser etched crystal is very nice. It is padded inside to protect the crystal and is nice enough to display it if you would rather not use the lighted base.

Here is the picture I gave them to laser into the crystal and the crystal itself. I told them to just add me and my husband and to disregard the background.

Pretty good right? They added the “Happy Valentine’s Day” wording at the bottom. I think it is pretty neat. I have seen the crystals before but never with an actual picture inside. I will give this as a gift to my husband for Valentine’s Day. What do you think of it?

Thank you Ben! The weight of the crystal wasn’t something I expected but the detail in the picture was amazing. I can’t wait to show it to my husband!

Well, you know, heavy things feel fancier, don’t they? 🙂

So actually the real reason is that we use high quality crystal, as opposed to glass. The presence of lead in crystal makes it softer and more suitable for cutting and carving, and it will diffract light passing through it like a prism. It also increases the weight. Pick up a wine glass made of crystal and you’ll feel the weight right away.

I can’t say that I have a crystal wine glass to compare it to but I know you guys know what you are doing! I put the crystal onto the base and turned it on just to see what it looks like and the picture is even more amazing with the light coming through it (especially in the dark). Very awesome!

I'd love to hear what you think!
