I love Christmas! I love the cold brisk air, how everyone smiles at each other and is so much nicer. Just something about Christmas makes people friendly and opens their hearts. I love it! Decorating the tree, driving to see the Christmas lights, seeing the Mall Santa surrounded by noisy kids and fake elves…it makes me laugh but I wouldn’t change a thing. I wish it could be like this all year round but that is just a foolish child’s thought. So when Christmas time comes around I try to take it all in and make it last as long as possible.

Yes, we decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving. Our 4-year-old daughter already has all the Christmas songs memorized. I am done with my Christmas shopping before December even starts but I continue to buy little things I see here and there right up until Christmas day. I like to give. I try to remember everyone that has ever been nice to me or makes me feel good. Giving them just a card or a plate of homemade cookies makes me feel wonderful inside. You know you are appreciated when small gifts get you the biggest of smiles!

Chicken Soup for the Soul sent me their book, “The Gift of Christmas”, to read and review.

If you love Christmas or know of someone that does then this book would be the perfect holiday gift! It is a great read full of happy Christmas stories about families, reunions, the joy of giving and more. The stories will warm your heart. A great bedtime story read for the kids or read some stories aloud to the whole family at the dinner table. These stories will melt even a Scrooge’s heart. Some of the stories were so moving that it brought some tears to my eyes but not because I was sad…because they were just so good!

I'd love to hear what you think!
