Chicken Soup for the Soul sent me one of their newest books to review, From Lemons to Lemonade: 101 Positive, Practical, and Powerful Stories about Making the Best of a Bad Situation.
We have all had bad times. Days that seem like they will never end and nights that are too short. Problems that consume us and disasters we can’t control. This book is filled with stories of how people who have bad times overcame them. How they saw past the problems and looked to the future. They made the best of the situation they were in. Instead of getting depressed they kept on going with a positive attitude.
I have had my share of problems. While I can’t say that I have always had the brightest outlook I came out of each situation stronger than before. Reading all these stories truly makes me feel like I am not alone. There were some stories that I can’t even imagine how I would react if that happened to me (probably not like they did that’s for sure). But they came through. You never really know what you can handle until you are put to the test. So far I have passed and so has everyone in this book. If you are going through some troubling times take a moment to read some stories from “From Lemons to Lemonade”. It may make you feel better and it might even give you an idea on how to fix whatever is going wrong.
Giveaway time! 2 lucky readers are going to win a paperback copy of “From Lemons to Lemonade” from Chicken Soup for the Soul. This giveaway is open to US residents. It ends September 15, 2013 at 12 AM CST. All the entries are optional. Good luck!
