I am not much into Fitness and Health so this magazine is not one I would buy at the checkout stand or get a subscription for myself. I would love to lose some weight and look as good as the people on the cover of magazines but I know that (being realistic) that is not going to happen. Now being healthy that is something I do try to keep up with. I am young but I won’t be young forever. I try to watch what I eat, eat in moderation and eat healthy food. Sometimes it is not easy!
One article that I found to be especially interesting in this magazine is entitled “eat to your heart’s content”. It talks about the healthy foods that you can eat to lower your blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease. Heart disease runs in my family so this is one topic that hits close to home. Some of the food mentioned: oranges, red wine (already in my diet…lol), garlic, dark chocolate and kale. Funny that it mentioned kale. A friend of mine introduced me to kale last year and I ate it for the first time ever. It was very yummy!
We can try to be as healthy as we can but sometimes we need help. I think Prevention magazine has some great articles and tips to point you in the right direction.
