Wristband Safety for Children – Polly Klaas Foundation

I receive the Polly Klaas Foundation Newsletter and today I received one that I felt that I should share.

“The Polly Klaas® Foundation is a national nonprofit that helps find missing children, prevents children from going missing, and promotes laws like Amber Alert that help keep children safe.”

Today’s newsletter is about having your children wear wristband’s when you are out in public if they ever wander off, get lost or go missing. With summer here, I think this is very important. Summer vacations, theme parks, beaches, lakes, we take our children everywhere. If they at least are wearing some sort of identification whether it be a bracelet, fake tattoo, information sewn on, etc, any of these things would help if they happened to wander off.

Please check out the article at the Polly Klaas Foundation, Wristband Safety for You & Your Kids and please share it with your friends and family.

Scary fact here: “797,500 children (younger than 18) were reported missing in a one-year period of time studied resulting in an average of 2,185 children being reported missing each day.” – from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Not trying to scare anyone…I just want everyone to be safe. Thanks!

I'd love to hear what you think!
